Free Advise on Mental Health Issues

Are you seeing an increase in mental health issues in your congregation? You wouldn’t be alone in this perception. Here at North Woods we’re seeing a huge influx of mental health concerns, addiction, and divorce in wake of the pandemic and all that came with it. Mental health issues can be complex and time-consuming, and we know that with your many obligations you can’t always provide the in-depth counseling families need. We’re here to help. Our trained Christian Counselors are committed to transforming lives for Christ through our clinics in Twin Cities and Duluth, and through online counseling to the entire state of MN. All this being said, we are happy to provide complementary advice to you on mental health issues in your congregation. Ministry Staff Conflict Resolution

Is your ministry staff becoming fractured or ineffective? Has resentment, hurt, misunderstanding, or personality clashes become a distraction to your mission? Having been involved in ministry for all these years, we know that the body of Christ is made up of sinful, wounded people (ourselves included). As such, even gifted, loving ministry teams can find themselves stuck. We also understand that pastors and other ministry leaders getting burned out is rampant. Expectations in congregations remain high, while salaries remain low and boundaries are often not respected. Likely, you’re in need of more vacation time and a sabbatical, but helping congregations to understand the long-term importance of this can be challenging to say the week. If it would be helpful, we can meet with your staff to help identify the problems, and find practical solutions for working through them.
