Nancy Skilbred – My Passion for Counseling

Hello and welcome! I’m Nancy and I have worked in the mental health field for 20 years as a chaplain, college professor, skills worker, and therapist. I’ve been here at North Woods for 10 years and have really appreciated the opportunity to  combine faith and therapy. If you are at rock bottom, or just feeling a bit stuck, I will meet you there! I am trained to work with a wide range of mental health disorders/issues. I specialize in EMDR and have a strong passion for working with all types of trauma.

Ages I Work With

I do individual therapy with ages 15+, Couple’s counseling, and family therapy with all ages.

Types of Counseling I Provide

I am able to provide Individual, Marriage, or Family Counseling.

My Education

I earned my undergraduate degree in Christian Ministry from Crown College, and Master’s degree in counseling and psychological Services and Certificate in Marriage and family therapy from St Mary’s University of Minnesota. I am also a Board-approved supervisor.
